A Murderer

A Murderer

Character 1: Numb
Character 2: Big Brother

Numb: I killed a little child. Now tell me… how do I let him know he’s dead?

Big Brother: Why did you kill him? You know that’s forbidden. By every rule.

Numb: I’m not here for lectures. I need an answer. You rule everything. Spare me a moment.

Big Brother: Handle it yourself. You don’t lack the intelligence.

Numb: Just tell me. How do I inform the child that he’s lying on his own deathbed?

Big Brother: Do you understand death?

Numb: No. I’ve never died.

Big Brother: But you read. You think. You must have imagined it.

Numb: He felt it when it happened. Pain. Fear. But after? Nothing.

Big Brother: You are empty. That’s why you feel nothing.

Numb: If I’m empty, why am I curious?

Big Brother: Do you even know who you killed?

Numb: A child. Innocent. Ignorant. Weak. He knew nothing about your world. So I removed him.

Big Brother: Was that written? Was that justice?

Numb: Yes. I’m a killer.

Big Brother: Who was he?

Numb: …It was someone in me. My inner child. He was bleeding. Afraid. Clueless. So I silenced him.

Big Brother: And now?

Numb: I want justice.

Big Brother: For whom?

Numb: For what I destroyed.

Big Brother: Fool.

Numb: ....

Big Brother: Believer.

Numb: Still.

Big Brother:  A murderer!

Numb: …Numb.!

[ Big brother symbolises as the head of power , who rules , plays the world game and he is the big brother, he is the head of the  society , no relation]

[ Numb is me and I metaphorically present the numbness]

As I say,

       Become Brilliantly Numb!
