Life & Perspective

I just feel like something is stinging in my brain. Sometimes, I realise that life is just an imagination. What is the definition of imagination? Another world, completely decorated by our own choices?
But I still haven't found the exact meaning of life. What should I answer when someone asks me, "What is the meaning of life?" In my perspective, we shouldn't replace the word life with any other word.
We often build a barricade around the idea of being successful. But what do you understand by the phrase 'Being successful'? Establishment? Escaping poverty? Living a comfortable life?
I actually prefer to choose the hardest and longest path to success. And the word success is relative. Maybe you are already living your dream life, yet you still want more and more.
like solving a math problem. Before solving it, you're thinking, "Oh, I have to solve this!" But after solving it, you feel an even greater thirst for mathematics. And I totally appreciate that.
Success is similar. From the outside, everyone may think, "Oh, you're a person with great intellectual ability." But deep down, you know you have to do better and better. Still, don't lose the enjoyment of life.
Actually, getting something depends greatly on expectations. Maybe you worked hard but didn't achieve what you expected. Other people may think your achievement is huge, but only you can truly feel the gap between your expectations and reality.
However, what about those people who achieved exactly what they wanted, yet their accomplishments aren't appreciated by others? If that person is happy, then why other judges?
My key point is that life is like a roller coaster. There will be many ups and downs, but we have to enjoy the ride.  We just need a positive mindset instead of constantly thinking about how much we are suffering.
And I just realized again my main belief from the very beginning:
"Life is too short—or maybe too long. It depends on yourself."
