Know the ribbon, my dear.
That's the secret!
Know the colour of it, my love.
That's the only thing to concrete.
How far it goes?
Or how strong is it?
The faithless train of an aimless,
The afraid owl of a hopeless, oh! useless.
The ribbon might be red,
Maybe the brightest shade of red,
Maybe the calmer form of blood,
Or the red sun that lightens even the darkest shadow.
Whoever claims not to have the ribbon,
Their feelings change every season,
They are not empty,
Never can be numb,
They're just lost and afraid of the ribbon.
Foolish and fooled,
Blamed and bored,
A bride without any sort of ornaments.
It's the sharpest ribbon there is, Will leave scars even in veins,
But they, the afraid owl, never try to actually gain.
Why not? They desire love deep in their bones, in every season!
Yet, never try to assume that it's always the ribbon!
As I say,
Become brilliantly numb!
