From the day he vanished from my sky,
Every failure keeps whispering...
People began measuring me differently,
Still wondering why my fate is falling...
The duties he left in my hands,
Are still remaining unfinished...
Now his friends think that,
I don't belong to survive by this land...
I learned to say sorry for air and for space,
for his lost dream still stuck on my face...
Sorry for What?
Sorry for breathing.
Sorry for staying.
Sorry for existing.
Sorry for trying.
While they're not buying.
Now I apologize for the pain I never caused, for everything.
Then came another lesson, another night,
Where others brought their chaos into sight....
Yet somehow punishment reached me too,
Though none of the chaos was mine to do....
Not for guilt, nor deeds I made,
but for standing where the ruins stayed..
I was only close to the crushing flame,
So punishment arrived carrying my name..
And the cruelest part? The silent crowd.
The blame hurts less than what they allowed.
So many faces that knew who I had been,
Who knew I would never step into that sin.
Yet they didn’t speak, nor did 'voices' arise,
Not one said, "he’s not the kind to do this".
They stood there quietly, watching my name,
Sink beside the guilty, carrying the same shame.
And that was the moment I realised the truth,
You won't be defended, even without fault..
Sometimes they vanish without a sound at all,
Simply by standing silent, while you fall..
