I did not lose you-
I was left with you everywhere.
In the way silence now sounds heavier than words, in the way my chest remembers what my hands no longer can. 
Let others heal with forgetting-
I will keep the wound open, clean, sacred.
There is a cruel kind of beauty in this-
to have known something so rare that nothing after it even dares to compare.
I refuse replacement.
Because what we were, was not meant to be repeated. It was meant to ruin me once-and forever.
