Mute

Mute

So many people, so much crowd, so much noise, so many random screams, so many voices and their echoes  they pierce through my veins and awaken a deep exhaustion within me.

There is a reason I feel this way, because even though I can speak, I am still speech-impaired. I am a stranger to this language, as if mastering it is something painfully difficult.

Even after practicing all day, my mouth does not open fully. Every word breaks through my lips but loses its force halfway, falls to the ground, dissolves into the air, or gets stuck in my throat like a thorn. And that sharp pain ignites anger in my heart.

An anger that can burn down a vast forest, a beautiful city, or someone’s vibrant heart. And the responsibility of carrying that weight is mine. Yet recklessly, I want to shatter it even more, to make it bleed. How terrifyingly violent I can become.

Who will make them understand?

Who will make him understand?

Who will make you understand?

Are you not directionless, lost, fearful, pretending in front of others?

When everyone shouts, don’t you get carried away too? Don’t you love your own voice more than all the echoes around you?

How will you ever understand the stabbed heart of someone speech-impaired, the thorn stuck in the throat, and the intense inner pain of that wounded pride and anger?

As I say,
Become Brilliantly Numb...
